August 23, 2008 Testing at Cville Yoseikan

Mrs Pam Grammer was awarded the rank of Ni-kyu, skipping the rank of San-kyu. She is now the first adult female trained at the Charlottesville Yoseikan to receive this degree of brown belt. The honor was bestowed due to her stalwart training in spite of a very disruptive work schedule as well as the degree of proficiency of her skills. We look to Pam to be our up and coming adult female black belt.

At this time, Betty Groth was also awarded her Go-kyu. Betty has been training for almost 4 years and though she attends one class a week, she is training with full heart and soul. This is the dedication that it takes to continue to advance as a student of karate-do. Congratulations to both Pam and Betty and keep up the good training!
